Annual Birthday/Anniversary Calendar Sale

Description: Community Calendar with .paid listings of birthdays and anniversaries

Time Frame: June thru August 15

Committee: VP, Chairman, and at least 2 other assistants (one of which prepares listing to be electronically submitted to the calendar publisher in Ohio while other directly assists Chairman in ads, questions, etc

Chairman: sets the actual dates, distributes data from previous year (Lion Members should already have a copy of the data they turned in to the Calendar Committee from the last year they used to sell and distribute the calendars – should be simply a copy made or listing retained by the member BEFORE turning in the listing data at Aug 1); secures ads; mails data and funds to publishers. Ad prices for 2008 are $45.00. New ads require additional one time setup costs.

Members: Solicits and collects listing data from community using a current input form provided by the Committee. The specific steps are to collect the family fee of $5.00 (not more than ? listings) for birthday and anniversaries. Write the dates on the provided clean/new form IF NEW ADDS. IF ADDS ARE A REPEAT - Use data on the LISTING form for those community people for which this is a renewal add. This eliminates and simplifies data input for the next year – 2008. Members may see who purchased calendar the past year thru our website. They can also see the Lion member that sold the calendar – thus avoiding duplications and reducing the request to the community members and neighbors.

All forms are to be returned to the committee by August 1. This will allow time to input the data and send the data to the printer to gain added savings due to the early printing.

IMPORTANT: NOTE TO MEMBERS: Keep the names of the households you sold calendars to BEFORE turning the data over to the club. You will use your list to distribute the calendars.
